Recommended webcams for optimal performance:
Or use a camcorder for best quality stream:
Majority of models are using camcorders. Camcorders provide the best possible image and at a very high resolution image. This translates to better quality for our members and more income for our models. Cameras with zoom remote control enable the models to allow members a closer look. Any camcorder will work, some examples are listed below if the camera is digital you can use the fire wire input on the new software only. Otherwise you will need a video capture card.
A VIDEO CARD allows for streaming with a camcorder on your computer. We highly recommend the Osprey 100. You can find other VIDEO CARDS on Amazon or your local computer store. (Or do a Google search for Video Cards). You will be able to connect your camcorder with this devise instead of using a webcam. A video card basically provides the port which allows you to connect to your camcorder; as you would connect a VCR or TV. The computer currently does not have the necessary plug in devices to access a camcorder and a VIDEO CARDS simply allows it to plug and play into your computer.
You can have any CompUSA or Geek Squad come to your home to install this device for you, if you do not know how to install, but is very easy to do.

For the fastest connection speed possible, we highly recommend Verizon Fios. You can contact them here:

PC requirements: A top of the line computer is not needed to be a model for Scores Live. Any newer model PC with a processor speed of 1 GHZ, 256 mb RAM (minimum), a video card that's not ten 8 years old will suffice to operate the system. Another requirement is that the computer is stable. Simply meaning that it won't crash or reboot suddenly, or often.

Lighting and connection speed is probably the most important aspect of having a good stream. You should have a minimum of 400 watts to 500 watts lighting in your chat room. There are three options depending on your budget. You can use inexpensive watt lighting or professional photography lighting. Please click the following link http://www.videoccasions-nw.com/volitbas.html to learn how to set up and position lighting in your chat room.
**Be sure not to use natural light since the sun moves constantly and the quality of your stream will be poor. Also keep all lighting off camera, try not to have any sunbursts on screen**
You can use regular spot light bulbs that are 100 watts each, and place four lights around you, and your chat room. Make sure you have at least 400 watts of lighting in the area where you will be working from. You can find these lights at any local lighting store. Try getting halogen because they are ‘camera friendly.’
You can purchase a 500 watt halogen or the 250 watt halogen with stand lights these lights will range from $10-$25 dollars. The 500 watt bulbs may be too strong, so you can change the bulbs to 250 watt halogen which is very inexpensive to do. You can find these lights very cheap on the net and Amazon, by typing 250 watt bulb in the search box. You would have to remove the metal cage so it does not cast a shadow on you or your backdrop.
The most highly recommended setup would be to use professional studio lights 500-Watt Thrifty Photoflood Kit from Amazon or from www.cameraworld.com which comes with halogen lighting and a diffuser in one. This setup is ideal and will produce the best results; which in turn will make you the most money.
NOTE: The more you put into this, the more you will get out of it. Look at it as; you are investing in yourself to ensure a success on Scores Live.
These lights get very hot so make sure to adequately use caution when using lights indoors and close to anything that could be flammable. If lights get very hot, please use your better judgment and shut them off.
